Global Transportation Operations Specialist

About the role

As a member of the Global Transportation team at GE Aerospace, you will support the worldwide supply chain that fuels engine production. This first‑shift, Monday‑to‑Friday position focuses on executing and continuously improving transportation processes to keep material flow smooth and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Clear to Build and Clear to Launch processes, ensuring parts are transported and tracked to meet weekly engine output goals.
• Identify and surface emerging delivery issues, acting as the escalation point and coordinating with stakeholders to resolve risks.
• Design and implement bespoke logistics solutions for expedited shipments within a complex global network.
• Manage customs requirements for international shipments, ensuring compliance and minimizing delays.
• Lead cross‑functional projects to optimise internal processes for global supply‑chain fulfilment.
• Use supplier metrics to drive process improvements that reduce cycle time and enhance quality and service.
• Support financial aspects of global transportation, including price fluctuations, premium transport utilisation, and on‑time delivery performance.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across functions.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply‑chain environments, preferably in an aerospace or manufacturing setting.
