Group Corporate Communications

About the role

Sembcorp, a leading energy and urban solutions provider, is seeking a Group Corporate Communications professional to shape and deliver consistent messaging across its global footprint. The role supports corporate storytelling, media engagement and sponsorship governance while leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Track daily media coverage and industry trends across priority markets to identify relevant stories, emerging issues and reputational risks.
• Draft in‑house topical articles, briefing materials and press releases that align with corporate narratives.
• Assess and recommend speaking opportunities and coordinate timely release of corporate news across traditional and digital channels.
• Ensure approved content is published promptly on the website newsroom, internal platforms and social media where applicable.
• Drive adoption of AI tools to automate media inbox monitoring, speaking‑engagement assessments and sponsorship reviews.
• Oversee sponsorship compliance and governance to ensure partnerships align with organisational values and strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a related discipline.
• 4–6 years of experience in media relations, corporate communications or public affairs (in‑house or agency).
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills in English; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.

• Experience with media monitoring and news analysis platforms.
