Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are hiring a Controller to own statutory reporting, group consolidation, audit management and regulatory compliance for the Syfe Group. This senior individual contributor reports directly to the Head of Finance and works across four APAC markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly group consolidation, including inter‑company eliminations, FX translation and reconciliation of balances.
• Prepare statutory financial statements for all entities and manage external audits from planning to signed opinion.
• Own regulatory financial reporting obligations across Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and India, and coordinate inspection readiness.
• Handle technical accounting matters such as share‑based payments (IFRS 2), financial instruments (IFRS 9), revenue recognition (IFRS 15) and leases (IFRS 16).
• Lead transfer‑pricing assessments, maintain inter‑company agreements and support tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions.
• Design and maintain internal controls over financial reporting and drive automation of the close process using AI and finance tooling.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent) with 10+ years post‑qualification experience.
• At least 3 years in a group consolidation, controller or senior statutory reporting role.
• Strong technical foundation in IFRS/SFRS, especially revenue recognition, financial instruments and share‑based payments.
• Hands‑on experience managing external audits across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Excellent written communication and highly organised with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
