Group Financial Controller – Singapore

About the role

Reporting to the Group CFO, the Group Financial Controller will partner closely with senior leadership and the Board to drive financial reporting excellence, governance and strategic decision‑making. Based in Singapore, the role offers broad exposure across consolidation, regulatory compliance, M&A and finance transformation in a lean, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and consolidation of group financial statements in compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and SGX listing requirements.
• Manage annual reports, half‑year results, regulatory submissions and quarterly Board packs.
• Oversee monthly consolidation across regional entities, driving automation and system improvements.
• Ensure SGX listing rule compliance, liaise with auditors, regulators, tax advisors and corporate secretarial teams.
• Present technical accounting matters to the Audit Committee and Board.
• Provide guidance on complex accounting issues such as acquisitions, disposals, impairment, revenue recognition and share‑based payments.
• Maintain internal control framework, oversee internal audit activities and assess impact of new accounting standards.
• Partner with the CEO, CFO and commercial leaders on M&A opportunities, investments, restructuring and contract negotiations.
• Lead finance transformation initiatives and system enhancement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA or ACCA.
• Proven experience in SGX‑listed environments with strong knowledge of SGX reporting and listing requirements.
• Extensive group consolidation and financial reporting experience.
• Strong technical accounting expertise and ability to handle complex accounting issues.
• Experience partnering with C‑suite executives, Boards and external stakeholders.
• Hands‑on approach and ability to thrive in a lean team.
• Track record of driving process improvements and system enhancements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Familiarity with SGX listing and regulatory requirements.
