About the role

The Growth and Platform Management Specialist will drive digital audience growth for Lianhe Zaobao by blending editorial insight with data‑driven tactics. Reporting to the Editor/Associate Editor, you will shape the daily digital experience and build long‑term loyalty across newsletters, push notifications, and on‑site recirculation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage homepage curation, story queues and tickers, ensuring quality control of all digital content.
• Schedule and deploy targeted push notifications and produce daily newsletters to generate direct traffic.
• Implement on‑platform engagement tactics such as related‑article modules and personalized recommendations.
• Translate audience insights into actionable content strategies, including SEO, keyword management and emerging GEO techniques.
• Support loyalty initiatives (e.g., subscription, ZB Club, ZB Rewards) through optimized digital touchpoints.
• Collaborate with product teams to pilot new features and integrate AI tools that enhance user experience.
• Monitor industry trends and advise the newsroom on high‑engagement content packaging.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in digital content, audience development, or newsroom production within a media organization.
• Bilingual proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Strong editorial judgment, copywriting ability and visual curation sense.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data dashboards for daily and strategic decisions.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and collaborate across editorial and technical teams.
