Guest Service Officer

About the role

The Guest Service Officer provides front‑line hospitality to hotel guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and swift resolution of inquiries. This role combines guest interaction, cash handling and basic administrative tasks while upholding a professional appearance at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests, delivering courteous and personalized service.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments and provide accurate US currency exchange.
• Operate standard office equipment such as telephones, computers and copy machines.
• Communicate effectively with guests, department heads and shipboard staff to resolve issues and negotiate solutions.
• Maintain a high level of professional demeanor and appearance.
• Support the department by taking ownership of new requests and identifying opportunities to add value.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a customer‑contact role within the hotel or related industry.
• At least one year of cash‑handling experience with knowledge of US currency and exchange rates.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
