Health Attendant - Dental Clinic

About the role

NHG is hiring a Health Attendant for its dental clinic. The role focuses on keeping dental instruments, units and equipment clean and safe, working closely with dental surgeons, oral health therapists and dental assistants.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, sterilize and disinfect dental instruments, units and equipment
• Check and pack dental sets and instruments before they are sent to the autoclave
• Maintain infection control practices, including good hand hygiene, safe handling of sharp instruments and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work with the dental team to ensure instruments are properly sanitized

Required profile

• Able to stand for long hours and commit to a 5.5-day workweek (Monday to Saturday)
• On-the-job training is provided for candidates without prior experience
• Preferred: minimum primary or lower secondary education and relevant healthcare work experience

Required skills

• Good interpersonal skills and computer literacy
• Able to write, read and communicate in simple English
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment, independent and calm under pressure
• Plus points: knowledge of sterilization and decontamination of medical instruments and familiarity with autoclave machines
