Hotel Maintenance & Engineering Technician

About the role

The M&E Technician is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities. This role ensures that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate smoothly and that preventative maintenance tasks are completed on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and common areas.
• Execute entry‑level preventative maintenance for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
• Respond to engineering and maintenance concerns promptly.
• Monitor and carry out maintenance projects and safety issues.
• Support departmental maintenance programs and complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
• Assist management in specifying supplies and equipment.
• Address guest‑related maintenance concerns.

Required profile

• Previous experience in construction or hotel maintenance is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry concepts.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Reliability, punctuality, and regular attendance.
