Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the role

As a Hotel Maintenance Technician you will support the Shift Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer in keeping the property safe, comfortable and well‑maintained for guests and staff. You will work across guest rooms, public areas and facilities, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and preventative maintenance plans are executed.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Shift Engineer in designing and implementing a preventative maintenance programme.
• Perform minor repairs in guest rooms and public areas.
• Respond to departmental requests for minor maintenance throughout the day.
• Liaise with departments to prioritize and complete work orders based on guest satisfaction.
• Execute work orders assigned by the Shift Engineer or Chief Engineer.
• Conduct daily inspections of public areas and rectify any deficiencies.
• Monitor and maintain pool chemical levels in line with legislative requirements.
• Participate in the Emergency Response team for fire, bomb threats and other emergencies.

Required profile

• Professional Certificate, NiTEC or Diploma in Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (fresh graduates are welcome).
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and self‑motivated.
• Strong team player able to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
