HR Generalist & Culture Intern

About the role

Tencent is looking for a dynamic and motivated HR Generalist & Culture Intern to support its human resources and culture initiatives. The internship gives hands-on experience across HR operations and culture development, with exposure to co-creating employee engagement activities. It suits someone currently studying HR, business administration, psychology or a related field.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in onboarding new employees and in offboarding activities
• Help plan and run employee engagement and culture-building initiatives such as team-building, local festivals, wellness programs and recognition events
• Assist with training operations, including liaising with internal and external stakeholders and preparing logistics
• Maintain and update HR databases, employee records and organizational charts
• Gather HR metrics and data to support reporting and analysis of HR trends
• Prepare internal communications such as EDMs and posters

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field; prior HR internship experience is a plus
• Available to start immediately or from December 2026
• Strong interest in HR management, organizational culture and employee relations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, organized and able to manage time
• Positive, adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin, as the role involves meetings and written materials in both languages with global teams and Chinese headquarters stakeholders
