HVAC Project Manager

About the role

Johnson Controls is looking for an HVAC Project Manager to act as the on-site project leader, planning, executing and completing assigned projects while ensuring client satisfaction. The role delegates tasks, coordinates with customers and manages subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Meet clients to define and document their requirements, and prepare tender documentation such as schedules, work specifications, schematics and drawings.
• Manage a portfolio of approved M&E contractors and oversee project cost procurement, analysis, appraisal and budgeting.
• Agree timelines and milestones with client and contractor, monitor progress and report non-compliance to the line manager.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and fire regulations and company policies, and verify that certifications, documents and drawings are kept for each project.
• Provide technical support to other departments, write progress reports and define project scope, including change orders and pricing strategies (fixed price, T&M, GMR).
• Run pre-job meetings with the Operations Manager, reporting controls and safety personnel, and circulate meeting minutes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Power, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in construction design and cost management as an Electrical/Mechanical Project Manager or similar role in a commercial, institutional or industrial setting.
• Experience managing large commercial, institutional and industrial projects valued at NIO million and above is preferred.
• Demonstrated estimating experience and knowledge of site surveying, project sequencing, materials and electrical systems.

• Estimation software (Accubid and MEP)
