ICT Procurement Specialist

About the role

The ICT Procurement Specialist will design and execute country‑specific procurement strategies to keep Huawei competitively positioned in the market. The role covers end‑to‑end supplier management, market analysis, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure cost‑efficiency, quality, and delivery assurance for ICT and integration projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement localized procurement strategies aligned with business needs.
• Lead supplier qualification, selection, and performance evaluation throughout the supplier lifecycle.
• Collect and analyse market trends, category supply data, and price movements to optimise sourcing.
• Support market bidding, delivery assurance and own KPIs such as cost savings, quality and internal controls.
• Foster long‑term relationships with primary suppliers and subcontractors, enhancing Huawei’s customer status.
• Manage procurement for complex integration projects, including data centre initiatives and large‑scale supplier conventions.
• Collaborate within a matrix team to ensure seamless execution of procurement tasks and compliance with internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of corporate procurement experience in the ICT industry.
• Proven experience managing projects with an annual spend of US$5 M + and delivering measurable cost‑savings.
• Experience handling a portfolio of 10 + suppliers and bidding for integration projects such as data centre infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of risk control, internal audit processes and willingness to travel internationally frequently.
