Industrial Engineer – Entry Level

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions for semiconductor and display manufacturing, is seeking an entry‑level Industrial Engineer to join its Singapore team. The role supports new product introductions, process design, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform methods engineering analysis, including process design and time‑and‑motion studies.
• Participate in industrial engineering projects, implement quality tools, and track project success.
• Conduct ergonomics and human‑factors evaluations and improve work‑area designs.
• Develop manufacturing facility layouts, material handling systems, and warehousing solutions.
• Support new product introductions with PLC/ePLC deliverables, line‑side setup, and tooling.
• Calculate and maintain capacity data for materials, people, space, and equipment.
• Provide guidance to manufacturing and logistics on efficient asset utilization.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, lift and work in tight or noisy environments.
• Willingness to work in a clean‑room and wear appropriate PPE such as coveralls, booties, and safety glasses.
• No supervisory responsibilities; accountable for technical contributions.
• Demonstrated conceptual knowledge of engineering theories and practices.
