About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, is offering an Industrial Engineering internship in Singapore. The role provides hands‑on experience in architectural design, prototype development, system integration, testing, and field support within the semiconductor equipment sector.

Key responsibilities

• Create concepts for architectural design approaches.
• Evaluate architectures and recommend the best system solution.
• Build and qualify prototypes of new designs, or procure subsystems from suppliers and test for compliance with detailed specifications.
• Support system integration during assembly and final testing of new product designs.
• Perform and coordinate reliability tests, making design or operational changes as required.
• Assist system‑engineering projects that involve electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithm, and software design, understanding their system implications.
• Provide remote and onsite support to field support personnel as needed.
