Intern - ADTS PIE RDA (AI Digital Solutions)

About the role

Micron's Realtime Defect Analysis (RDA) Engineering team is looking for an intern to join its Digital Solutions for Artificial Intelligence project. The RDA function generates engineering and manufacturing data used to monitor process health, identify defect trends and drive yield improvement in semiconductor manufacturing. As an intern, you will design and develop AI-enabled digital solutions that improve visibility, governance and adoption of AI across engineering workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop project management dashboards, workflow automation and AI-powered productivity solutions.
• Build visualization dashboards and project management solutions for tracking AI initiatives, milestones, adoption metrics and outcomes.
• Design and implement AI-enabled applications, automation solutions or AI assistant capabilities that improve engineering productivity.
• Analyze engineering processes to find where Generative AI, Agentic AI or automation can deliver measurable value.
• Integrate data from multiple engineering sources to give consolidated views for project monitoring and decision-making.
• Apply software engineering, data analytics and data visualization techniques to build maintainable, scalable solutions.

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Able to commit to a full-time internship of 5 months from January to May 2027.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to turn technical concepts into practical engineering solutions.

Required skills

• Programming, data analytics or automation tools such as Python, R, SQL, Power Automate or Power BI.
• Familiarity with software development, data visualization and workflow automation.
• Experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Tabnine, AI assistants or large language models.
• Preferred: web or dashboard development, data engineering, machine learning, semiconductor manufacturing or manufacturing data systems.
