Intern, Global Supply Chain

About the role

Edwards offers an internship in its Global Supply Chain team in Singapore, aimed at early-career professionals who want to understand the medical device supply chain. The intern works cross-functionally with sales and manufacturing operations, assessing challenges and formulating action plans with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Work on a time study project for the newly set up Flexcell pilot line and on a warehouse layout optimisation project
• Assist in printer validation as needed
• Focus on one or more supply chain functions such as supply chain planning software, packaging, labelling and kitting, procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, warehousing, transportation, trade compliance and inventory management

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree (Industrial Engineering major or minor)
• Seeking hands-on experience applying industrial engineering knowledge on the operations line
• Open to exposure in warehouse operations and value-added activities
• Preferred: excellent organisation, attention to detail and prioritisation in a changing, fast-paced environment, strong interpersonal skills, and a strong interest in the healthcare and medical devices industry

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is desirable
• Experience with supply chain planning software, procurement, logistics, warehousing, transportation, trade compliance and inventory management is functional and varies by student
