Internal Audit - Assistant Manager / Senior Auditor

About the role

Singapore Airlines' Internal Audit Division is looking for an Assistant Manager or Senior Auditor to carry out risk-based assurance and advisory reviews across the SIA Group (SIA, Scoot, SIA Engineering Company and other subsidiaries). The role gives independent, objective assurance to Management and the Audit Committee on the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal control, while driving digital enablement and continuous improvement in audit delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop risk-based audit scope, objectives and strategies covering the area under review.
• Perform process walkthroughs, prepare risk control matrices and testing programmes to assess control design and operating effectiveness.
• Prepare workpapers and review junior auditors' workpapers; for the Assistant Manager position, guide and supervise junior auditors.
• Analyse audit issues to find root causes and work with Management on practical recommendations.
• Produce clear, concise final reports within agreed timelines and track remediation, updating Management and the Audit Committee.
• Develop and run data analytics to test the full population, build key risk indicators and write continuous monitoring scripts.
• Use data analytics and digital tools such as GenAI for continuous audit, emerging risk identification and audit efficiency.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business.
• Preferred: professional qualification such as CIA, CA, CISA or equivalent.
• Preferred: at least 3 years in internal or external audit, or 2 years as a lead auditor for the Assistant Manager position.
• Advantageous: exposure to risk management, IT audits, data analytics or process improvement.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, report writing, planning and organisation skills; analytical, resourceful and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel overseas depending on project assignments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in software tools such as Python and Tableau is preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA business processes and controls is an advantage.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools for analysis and report drafting is an added advantage.
