Inventory & Flow Management Specialist

About the role

The Inventory & Flow Management Specialist drives the balance between product availability and cost efficiency across FairPrice Group’s fulfillment centres. Using advanced forecasting and replenishment tools, the role ensures the right products are in the right place at the right time while maintaining healthy inventory levels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly S&OP cycle, aligning Commercial, Finance and Logistics teams to a unified demand‑supply plan.
• Implement, optimise and migrate forecasting & replenishment (FNR) tools, reducing manual Excel reliance.
• Partner with commercial teams to design promotion or markdown strategies for slow‑moving or near‑expiry goods.
• Develop short‑term demand forecasts based on promotions, competition, seasonality and trends.
• Place purchase orders and stock transfer requests to keep fulfillment centres stocked.
• Monitor site‑specific inventory health, managing risks of overstock, aged or expired inventory.
• Balance Days of Supply (DOS) and In‑Stock Rates (ISR) to maximise availability while minimising holding costs.
• Track end‑to‑end order fulfilment across internal warehouses, suppliers and marketplace sellers.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in demand planning and inventory optimisation.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional S&OP processes.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with finance, commercial and supplier teams.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and data‑driven decision making.
