iOS Software Engineer – Mobile Security

About the role

Thales is seeking an iOS Software Engineer to develop secure Identity & Access Management (IAM) mobile applications and SDKs. You will work in a small, high‑impact team, leveraging AI‑assisted tooling while ensuring rigorous human‑led security reviews in a critical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and validate iOS mobile apps and SDKs, using AI‑assisted tools to accelerate delivery.
• Implement secure authentication and identity‑verification flows, validating designs against platform threat models.
• Own the test strategy for SDKs (unit, integration, UI) and expand coverage with AI‑generated tests.
• Create clean, well‑documented SDK APIs that maintain backward compatibility and minimal binary size.
• Improve the software development lifecycle by adopting AI for test generation, code review, debugging and release automation.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) with static analysis, dependency scanning and automated security checks, using AI to triage issues.
• Evaluate and recommend AI/ML tools aligned with IAM security and data‑handling standards.
• Add privacy‑focused telemetry for crash, performance and diagnostics without exposing sensitive identity data.
• Contribute to product innovation, prototypes and patents, exploring AI/ML opportunities that enhance security and reduce user friction.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Security, Electronics or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Strong expertise in iOS development with Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit, including lifecycle, concurrency and memory management.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) and ability to critically validate generated code.
• Experience applying AI across the software development lifecycle (testing, documentation, debugging, review).
