IT Finance Intern

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is looking for a highly motivated Finance Intern to support the APAC Project Hub (APH) Phase 3 initiatives in its Systems Office for Asia, Systems Planning Department. The internship runs from 11 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 and focuses on Finance Analytics, Dashboard Development, Data Governance and Technology Cost Management. The intern works closely with Technology Finance and project teams to improve reporting, strengthen data quality and generate management insights.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports and management dashboards, and analyse budget, forecast, actual spending and variance trends.
• Assist in project financial tracking and portfolio reporting, and take part in budgeting and planning, including Gyokei and MTBP-related reporting.
• Design and enhance Power BI dashboards covering budget versus actual monitoring, investment tracking, project portfolio performance, resource utilization and technology cost transparency.
• Support Technology Cost Management, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for applications and technology services, cost allocation and chargeback analysis, and TBM-aligned reporting.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics or Data Analytics.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Interest in financial systems, technology project management or enterprise transformation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Open to Singaporean and PR students only; the internship is based in Singapore.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
• Power BI, Alteryx or SQL exposure is a plus.
