IT Governance Specialist

About the role

The IT Governance Specialist strengthens Prudential’s cybersecurity posture by overseeing technical controls that mitigate IT security risks. The role requires deep knowledge of security frameworks and hands‑on expertise in system hardening, firewall rule management, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) within a regulated financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the IT Assurance lead and take ownership of the IAM system, supporting onboarding applications and day‑to‑day BAU operations.
• Conduct annual and semi‑annual company‑wide user and privileged access reviews, propose and implement controls to reduce access‑related risk.
• Plan, prepare and execute annual baseline configuration and firewall rule review exercises.
• Act as liaison between business and IT teams to coordinate baseline configurations and firewall rule reviews.
• Ensure IT risk and security controls are implemented on time, complying with internal policies, business strategies, and regulatory requirements.
• Consolidate and provide evidence for internal, external and regulatory audits related to information technology.
• Maintain compliance with IT security standards set by PACS Group and regulatory guidelines from MAS and PDPC.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements in the financial sector.
• Hands‑on experience with IAM systems, baseline hardening, and firewall rule management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business and IT stakeholders.
• Experience preparing audit evidence and supporting compliance initiatives.
