IT Governance Specialist

About the role

Prudential is looking for an IT Governance Specialist to strengthen its cybersecurity posture by overseeing and reviewing technical controls that mitigate IT security risks. The role requires understanding of security frameworks and hands-on expertise in baseline hardening, firewall rule review and Identity and Access Management (IAM). Controls must align with internal policies and external regulations such as MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) guidelines and PDPC data protection rules.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the IT Assurance lead and take ownership of the IAM system, including onboarding applications and day-to-day operations
• Conduct annual and semi-annual user and privileged access reviews and remediation, propose and implement additional access controls
• Plan, prepare and run annual baseline configuration and firewall rule reviews, acting as liaison between business and IT
• Ensure IT risk and security controls are implemented on time in line with business strategy, policies and regulations
• Provide evidence for internal, external and regulatory IT audits
• Ensure IT operations comply with PACS Group security standards and MAS and PDPC guidelines
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement and automation of daily operations

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent
• Prior experience in the financial industry preferred
• Certifications such as SSCP, CompTIA Security+ or CEH preferred
• Sound knowledge of information security frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001

Required skills

• Active Directory, LDAP, EDR, Antivirus, WAF, Proxy, Firewall, DLP, SIEM and vulnerability management
• System hardening, firewall configuration and rules review
• Basic understanding of cyber security, IT networking, Windows OS and technical troubleshooting
