IT Security Officer (Consultant)

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is hiring an IT Security Officer (Consultant) for its Co-Development Business Unit. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract based at 52 Jurong Gateway Road. The officer strengthens security operations and governance, overseeing security vendors, managing testing cycles and providing expert consultancy so that government systems stay resilient against evolving cyber threats.

Key responsibilities

• Manage security vendors and deliverables
• Manage periodic security testing and review security reports
• Assess and manage timely mitigation and remediation of security issues
• Review security policies, standards, procedures and guidelines
• Provide cybersecurity consultancy and respond to security alerts and advisories
• Handle security incidents and broadcast email security advisories
• Conduct security awareness training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related field
• Minimum 4-7 years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst or similar role
• CISSP and/or CISM certification required
• Preferred: experience in software development or security operations, and familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and incident management

Required skills

• Strong understanding of network protocols, Windows and Linux, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools and SIEM platforms
• Scripting such as Python and PowerShell for automation
• Cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001
• Preferred certifications: GCIH, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CEH, SSCP, OSCP
