IT Security Officer – Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Activate Interactive is seeking an IT Security Officer to support the Government Technology Agency (GovTech) in Singapore. This 12‑month fixed‑term position will involve applying security principles to real‑world engineering challenges and collaborating with product and security teams to protect government systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine reporting, dashboarding and automation to improve security operations efficiency.
• Review VAPT findings, contribute to remediation planning and validate identified vulnerabilities.
• Refine incident‑response playbooks and assist with compliance documentation and evidence collection.
• Support threat‑modelling exercises and translate security policies into actionable requirements.
• Conduct periodic IAM role reviews to enforce least‑privilege access.
• Apply security standards and controls across CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes platforms and cloud environments.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of foundational security principles and best practices.
• Ability to work independently on security tasks and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with security operations, vulnerability assessment and remediation processes.
