IT Technician

About the role

The IT Technician will ensure smooth operation of technology for CloudHQ employees, vendors and support staff in Singapore. The role combines desk‑side, remote and on‑site assistance and works closely with regional and global IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and support Microsoft 365, Windows 11, cloud‑based applications and third‑party software.
• Set up and manage user accounts, laptops and mobile devices using Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Provide first‑ and second‑line support for hardware, software and connectivity issues, handling tickets from intake to resolution.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP) and assist with switches, firewalls and wireless access points under senior guidance.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding activities, maintain asset inventory and ensure endpoint compliance.
• Contribute to IT documentation, knowledge‑base articles and collaborate on infrastructure changes and deployments.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or professional qualification in IT, Computer Science, Networking or related field (preferred).
• Minimum five years of experience in IT support, desktop support or service‑desk environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and customer‑service orientation.
• Fluent professional English with strong verbal and written communication.
• Availability for occasional after‑hours support and limited travel within the region.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365, Windows 11, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID.
• Basic networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN.
• Experience with switches, firewalls, wireless access points; knowledge of Cisco, Fortinet.
• Use of network troubleshooting tools such as ping, traceroute, nslookup, ipconfig.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk) and PowerShell scripting.
• Optional certifications: Microsoft, CompTIA Network+, CCNA.
