Java Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance backend services and APIs. You will work on event‑driven integrations, data modelling, and search capabilities while collaborating with product, DevOps, and QA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend services and REST APIs using Java 11+ and Spring Boot.
• Implement and operate event‑driven pipelines with Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streams, schema management).
• Design efficient data models and write performant SQL queries for MariaDB/MySQL.
• Build search and analytics features with Elasticsearch, including index design and query optimisation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable features.
• Write clean, well‑tested code, participate in code reviews, and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across application and data layers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions around messaging, storage, and service design.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and incident response as needed.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience developing backend applications in Java.
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Kafka or similar message brokers in production.
• Strong SQL skills with practical experience in MariaDB or MySQL.
• Experience building search solutions with Elasticsearch.
• Solid understanding of object‑oriented design, multithreading, and REST API development.
