Java Developer (Mid-level, Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our team on a contract basis in Singapore. The role focuses on building and maintaining high‑volume, mission‑critical banking applications using modern Java and micro‑service technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and micro‑services using Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot.
• Implement data access layers with Spring Data JPA, Hibernate and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Integrate banking systems with third‑party services via Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven/Gradle and Git.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests and support production issues following Agile/Scrum practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional Java development experience.
• Proven experience in the banking domain (retail, corporate, payments, etc.).
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum and production support.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
