Junior Compliance Officer

About the role

Alta is seeking a Junior Compliance Officer to support the Group’s compliance oversight and advisory functions. Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, you will work closely with business and functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory risks in a dynamic, MAS‑regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining the compliance controls framework and related processes.
• Draft and update compliance manuals, policies, AML/CFT procedures, and business continuity plans.
• Maintain outsourcing policy, register, and service level agreements, flagging material changes.
• Ensure operational procedures align with regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and support senior staff in advisory duties.
• Conduct KYC checks, AML/CFT name screening, risk‑rating, and maintain related documentation.
• Prepare and maintain compliance registers, monthly reports, and regulatory communication logs.
• Support licence applications, renewals, and data submissions to MAS.
• Assist with internal/external audits, gap analyses, and remediation of findings.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of relevant compliance experience within a MAS‑regulated financial institution.
• Strong understanding of MAS regulations, AML/CFT requirements, and KYC processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with business teams and senior compliance staff.
