Junior Java Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to join the Risks IT (RIT) team at Crédit Agricole CIB’s Singapore centre. The role involves building and maintaining Java‑based batch and UI applications that support risk data collection, calculation and monitoring for the bank worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications using Spring, Hibernate and Spring‑Boot.
• Create ETL modules to process XML, CSV and position files.
• Build and integrate REST APIs for data exchange between systems.
• Develop frontend components with React JS and JavaScript.
• Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for SQL Server (Oracle knowledge a plus).
• Set up CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and GitLab CI, and write shell scripts for batch jobs.
• Configure job workflows in Control‑M and Apache Airflow.
• Support containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Document technical designs, write unit tests with JUnit and perform integration testing.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Basic understanding of the banking domain.
• Experience with backend technologies (Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Spring‑Boot).
• Familiarity with frontend technologies (JavaScript, React JS).
• Proficiency in SQL Server; Oracle knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and build tools (Maven).
