Junior .NET Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior .NET Engineer to join Cognizant’s Singapore team on a large‑scale support and maintenance project. The role involves developing new features, maintaining existing applications and providing production support within an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance applications on the .NET stack using C#, Angular and SQL Server.
• Collaborate with Agile team members to resolve technical impediments.
• Provide hands‑on development, support, maintenance and enhancements for existing systems.
• Participate in production support, incident resolution and act as a technical resource for new technologies.
• Reduce duplicate processes and code through best‑practice implementation.
• Communicate regularly with project managers and review documentation and diagrams.
• Manage queues of BUA/RTB work to ensure timely project delivery.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience on the .NET platform, including .NET 4.5.
• Previous work on public sector or government projects.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems and web development.
• Experience in project estimating and planning.
• Ability to start on short notice.
