Junior Operator – APAC Gas & Power Operations

About the role

The Junior Operator will support the growing APAC Gas & Power business, helping to schedule, coordinate and control daily trading activities. Working under the guidance of senior operations staff, the role provides a development path for junior talent in a fast‑moving commodities environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and validate trade data in the ETRM system, handling capture, confirmations, amendments, allocations, scheduling and settlements.
• Execute daily scheduling and nomination activities for gas, power and environmental certificates, ensuring timely delivery.
• Support real‑time and day‑ahead scheduling, coordinating with traders, counterparties, market operators and service providers.
• Monitor physical positions, assist with balancing activities and help minimise operational risk.
• Validate and reconcile settlement statements and invoices.
• Maintain accurate records across ETRM, scheduling and settlement systems and support operational reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve processes.

Required profile

• Junior‑level candidate with a strong interest in energy trading operations.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow guidance from senior operations managers.
• Good analytical mindset and attention to detail.
