Key Account Manager

About the role

WorldFirst is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive acquisition and growth of merchant clients across B2B, B2C, e‑commerce and online selling segments. The role collaborates with Marketing, Partnerships, Merchant Servicing, Inside Sales and Onboarding teams to convert opportunities and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Self‑generate new business opportunities through cold outreach, partnerships and referrals.
• Attend industry events to stay informed on trends and build connections within target segments.
• Maintain a portfolio of accounts, nurture relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Promote uptake of WorldFirst’s suite of products and educate merchants on solutions and processes.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to resolve merchant issues and share feedback.
• Implement a systematic approach for regular contact and relationship management.

Required profile

• Experience in B2B payments, commercial banking or related financial services.
• Background in cross‑border payments or commercial cards.
• Proven ability to generate leads and sell to business owners or C‑suite executives.
• Solutions‑oriented mindset with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Detail‑oriented, process‑driven and capable of handling tough conversations.
• Effective time‑management, task‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Collaborative attitude and ability to work across functions.
