Lead AI Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to drive enterprise AI and Generative AI initiatives for a major banking project. You will shape strategy, build solutions, and mentor teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define AI & GenAI strategy, roadmap, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
• Design and develop AI/GenAI solutions using Azure OpenAI, AI Search, AI Foundry, and Power Platform.
• Build enterprise chatbots, AI automation workflows, and LLM‑based applications.
• Develop AI/ML models on Azure Cloud, implement MLOps/DataOps pipelines, and expose APIs.
• Implement AI security, governance, risk, and compliance best practices.
• Evaluate and integrate large language models (GPT, Llama, Claude) for business use cases.
• Mentor technical teams, deliver AI training, and promote AI adoption.
• Provide ongoing support, optimisation, and continuous improvement of AI solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in AI, Data Science, Computer Science or related field (certifications in Azure AI/Data preferred).
• 7‑12 years of IT experience with at least 4 years of hands‑on AI/ML work (total experience ≤15 years).
• Strong background in AI/ML, Generative AI, NLP, Deep Learning and Large Language Models.
• Experience in the Banking/Financial Services industry is highly preferred.
