Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

Hydra X is seeking a hands‑on Lead DevOps Engineer to own and evolve its cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and security posture. Based in Singapore, you will guide a distributed DevOps team and collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Risk, Compliance and Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the DevOps function across Singapore, Indonesia and other remote engineering teams.
• Own reliability, scalability, security and operational readiness of AWS‑based production systems.
• Architect, deploy and maintain secure cloud environments for production and non‑production workloads.
• Define and enforce standards for cloud architecture, networking, IAM, secrets management, monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery and deployments.
• Drive Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform, AWS CDK or equivalent tools.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, reliable releases.
• Strengthen cloud security through hardening, vulnerability remediation, access controls, network segmentation and security monitoring.
• Embed DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, observability and incident‑response capabilities.
• Act as escalation point for production incidents and lead post‑incident reviews.
• Support ISO 27001, SOC 2 and other regulatory audits with technical controls and documentation.
• Mentor junior DevOps engineers and promote operational discipline.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud engineering or platform engineering.
• Proven leadership of distributed engineering teams.
• Hands‑on expertise with AWS and cloud security best practices.
• Strong background in Infrastructure‑as‑Code and CI/CD automation.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, risk and compliance stakeholders.
