Lead/Senior Process Engineer – Wet Cleans

About the role

As a Process Engineer at Applied Materials you will design and optimise manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor technologies, focusing on wet cleans. You will work closely with R&D, production and hardware teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and pilot production ramp‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Review and train on existing R&D processes and transfer knowledge to the pilot production line.
• Create a comprehensive checklist to ensure successful transfer of processes and materials.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, integration, operations and hardware teams to meet timelines for high‑volume manufacturing.
• Track and manage schedules, deliverables and risks for technology transfer and production milestones.
• Coordinate training with R&D transfer engineers.
• Support tools and process qualifications at the HVM site.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and standards, including deposition, etch, lithography and metrology.
• Comfortable working across time zones, collaborating with remote teams and supporting factory‑side execution.
• Discipline in tracking and driving deliverables to completion.
• Willingness to travel between South East Asia and the USA up to 50% of the time.
