Lecturer (Aerospace Engineering) – School of Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering to join our School of Engineering. The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials and labs across a range of aerospace subjects and supporting student learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions and student consultations for modules such as Aerodynamics, UAV, Aircraft Structures, Engineering Materials, Thermodynamics, Mathematics and Advanced Manufacturing in MRO.
• Review, design and develop curriculum materials, assessments and teaching strategies.
• Supervise students on internships, major projects and other experiential learning activities.
• Collaborate with local and overseas industry partners and educational institutions to lead projects, learning journeys and overseas programmes.
• Support and co‑organise polytechnic‑wide events, outreach activities and institutional initiatives.
• Provide teaching and student support outside normal office hours when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience in aerospace R&D and/or Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO).
• Willingness to pass the CAAS SAR‑66 Modules 6‑10 examinations to qualify as an instructor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, passion for sharing knowledge and engaging with youths.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic, innovative environment.
• Experience in space technology is an advantage.
