Lecturer (Mobility & Robotic Systems)

About the role

The university is seeking a Lecturer to teach and develop curricula in large‑scale mobility and smart robotic engineering systems. The role combines academic instruction, student project supervision, and industry‑focused research and consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and update curricula covering automation, manufacturing, Industry 4.0/5.0, Intelligent Transport Systems, Autonomous Vehicles and Electric Vehicles.
• Deliver lectures, labs and continuing‑education training sessions.
• Supervise student projects and mentor learners throughout their studies.
• Identify and develop collaborations with industry partners and lead consultancy projects.
• Perform administrative duties related to the programme and support student development activities.

Required profile

• Degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, mechatronic engineering or a related discipline.
• At least one year of experience in designing, deploying or commissioning robotics, automation or Intelligent Transport Systems.
• Strong initiative, multitasking ability and responsibility for meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member.

Required skills

• Programming and electronics platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with Robotics, Robot Operating System (ROS) and robot programming.
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0/5.0, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and collaborative or mobile robots.
• Familiarity with Intelligent Transport Systems, Autonomous Vehicles and Electric Vehicles (advantage).
