Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Academic Development & Management (Engineering)

About the role

The School of Engineering is seeking a dynamic Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to lead academic development and management initiatives. You will design and deliver applied curricula in statistics, electronics, design thinking, business innovation, and entrepreneurship, while fostering an innovative culture among staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver applied courses in statistics, electronics, design thinking, business innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Collaborate with faculty to promote innovative and enterprising practices.
• Represent the school on committees related to academic operations, student development and outreach.
• Identify and lead new initiatives, partnerships with industry and internal stakeholders.
• Plan, manage and deliver Continuing Education and Training programmes for adult learners and industry partners.
• Conduct research on teaching and learning practices.
• Perform academic, administrative and mentorship duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Recognised tertiary qualification in Engineering or Statistics.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant industrial or professional experience.
• Experience in curriculum design and project‑based learning.
• Strong pedagogical knowledge and effective assessment practices.
• Good IT proficiency and familiarity with online learning platforms.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
