Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Cybersecurity (School of Computing)

About the role

The School of Computing is seeking a dynamic Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to teach cybersecurity subjects to youth and adult learners. You will help shape the curriculum, introduce new courses, and contribute to applied research and consultancy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, labs and assessments for at least three cybersecurity subjects.
• Develop, review and continuously improve teaching materials and curricula.
• Stay current with industry trends and integrate emerging topics into courses.
• Participate in school committees, process‑improvement projects and strategic initiatives.
• Support the creation and management of new programmes aligned with market needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in web/application programming, application security, penetration testing, risk & vulnerability assessment, threat management, security operations, incident response or digital forensics.
• Passion for education and a strong interest in mentoring both youths and adult learners.
• Self‑driven, independent yet collaborative, with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in both Linux and Windows environments.
• Familiar with IT security standards, frameworks, compliance and audit requirements.
