Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics

About the role

This is a two‑year fixed‑term position in the School of ICT, focused on delivering the Cybersecurity & Digital Forensics Diploma. The role combines teaching, curriculum development, and industry engagement, offering a meaningful impact on student learning and employability.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deliver teaching and assessment materials for Pre‑Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) programmes.
• Review, update, and expand the curriculum to reflect emerging technologies and industry needs.
• Provide career guidance and mentorship to both youth and adult learners.
• Develop partnerships with enterprises for curriculum co‑creation, industry projects, and internship placements.
• Supervise student internships and contribute to ad‑hoc academic and outreach projects.
• Handle administrative duties related to teaching and institutional initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional experience in malware analysis and web penetration testing.
• Strong passion for education, mentoring, and student development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with industry partners and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Malware analysis, web penetration testing
• Assembly language, Python, JavaScript
• Tools: Ghidra, IDA Pro, PEStudio, Process Monitor, Regshot, Volatility, Wireshark, Burp Suite, Postman
• Data Science/Analytics: Jupyter Notebook, NumPy, pandas, Seaborn, Matplotlib, scikit‑learn
• Familiarity with Data Engineering, Generative AI or other AI solutions (advantageous)
