Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Precision Engineering)

About the role

Join a collaborative team of engineering educators dedicated to advancing Precision Engineering and smart manufacturing education. You will design and deliver authentic learning experiences in Precision Machining, CAD, Metrology, and Industry 4.0 while fostering industry collaborations and mentoring future engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver curriculum for Pre‑Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education (CET) in precision machining, CAD/CAM, metrology and Industry 4.0 technologies.
• Lead applied R&D and industry‑collaboration projects, especially in CNC machining and digital manufacturing.
• Guide and mentor learners through academic, project and career development, including supervision of student projects.
• Perform academic duties such as lesson planning, assessment, project supervision and student engagement.
• Support the school’s administrative and operational tasks as required.
• Stay current with advancements in precision engineering through active industry and professional community involvement.

Required profile

• Relevant degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience in manufacturing or precision engineering.
• Experience in at least one of the following: CNC turning/milling, CAD/CAM, IoT applications in manufacturing, metrology with advanced equipment (CMM, vision systems, 3D scanners).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, MSSQL).
• Preferable experience delivering technical training, sustainability projects, or AI‑based solutions in manufacturing.
