Lecturer/Sr Lecturer (Accountancy & Finance)

About the role

We are seeking an accounting professional with a curiosity for emerging technologies to join our School of Business Management as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer. You will guide students in understanding accounting fundamentals while exploring how AI, data analytics and automation reshape the profession.

Key responsibilities

• Teach accounting principles with a focus on technology‑enabled applications.
• Design learning experiences that integrate AI, data analytics tools and automation platforms.
• Supervise student projects that experiment with emerging technologies in accounting contexts.
• Collaborate with industry partners on digital transformation initiatives.
• Coach learners across Pre‑Employment Training and Continuing Education programmes.
• Contribute to curriculum development to keep pace with professional evolution.
• Participate in outreach and student development activities.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification with professional certification (or progress toward certification) from bodies such as ISCA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or equivalent.
• Substantive work experience in financial accounting, assurance, internal controls, cost accounting or related areas.
• Strong curiosity about technology trends affecting the accounting profession.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AI concepts as applied to accounting.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools.
• Experience with automation platforms for bookkeeping or audit processes.
