Legal Consultant – Commercial Contracts (Malaysia focus)

About the role

Axiom, the leading provider of on‑demand legal talent globally, is looking for a Real Estate Legal Consultant with at least three years of experience in commercial real‑estate transactions. The role will support key stakeholders across Greater China, Australia and other markets, focusing on lower‑risk deals and providing dedicated legal advice on property contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including volume lease renewals, retail store upgrades and construction appointments.
• Advise on real‑estate transactions, zoning, land‑use regulations and associated risks.
• Manage business‑critical matters such as large‑scale projects, asset‑management work and lease transactions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of property law and related regulations.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial real‑estate transactions.
• Proven ability to handle volume lease renewals, large‑scale project agreements and asset‑management work.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
