About the role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join a leading financial institution in Singapore. The role involves providing comprehensive legal support across operations, corporate governance, compliance and regulatory matters, ensuring the business meets all statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on operations, corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements under MAS and SGX.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including service contracts, regulatory filings, and partnership agreements.
- Develop internal legal frameworks, policies, and processes to support the company’s growth.
- Support business units in litigation and dispute resolution by offering legal guidance.
Required profile
- LLB degree with a minimum of 8 years of legal experience, preferably at least 5 years in banking and financial services.
- Proven ability to work independently and establish legal frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of the Securities and Futures Act, relevant MAS and SGX regulations, and Singapore employment law.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Required skills
- Fluent Mandarin (must).
