About the role
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is seeking a Legal Counsel to support its Land & International Rail and Infrastructure, Technology & Cybersecurity divisions. The role involves providing legal advice that underpins Singapore’s major rail and infrastructure projects, from compensation claims to cross‑border rail agreements and cybersecurity compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Research, analyse and advise on statutory interpretation, land law, public law and infrastructure‑related matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and subsidiary legislation for rail, construction and technology projects.
- Handle compensation and claims matters, including personal injury, property damage and contractual disputes.
- Support the development of cross‑border rail initiatives, including regulatory advice and legislative drafting.
- Provide counsel on technology contracts for intelligent transport systems and ensure compliance with Singapore’s cybersecurity regulations.
Required profile
- Qualified lawyer with experience in public law, land law or infrastructure‑related legal work.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s land transport legislative framework is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and drafting skills, with ability to work closely with policy, operations and project teams.
