Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

The Clermont Group is seeking a commercially‑focused Legal Counsel to join its Singapore‑based legal and compliance team. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, the role will support a diverse portfolio of businesses across healthcare, finance, aerospace and wealth management, providing strategic legal advice on corporate, M&A and financing matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal counsel to operating companies and senior leadership across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead and support M&A transactions, financing deals and corporate restructuring projects.
• Manage litigation matters and coordinate with external counsel as required.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and other legal documents.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with several years of experience in corporate, M&A and regulatory matters.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to challenge business leaders on performance.
• Proactive, self‑driven and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent judgment, communication and interpersonal skills.
