Lift & Escalator Manager

About the role

Lead the inspection, testing and compliance activities for lifts and escalators, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory adherence while supporting business growth for Bureau Veritas in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Develop SOPs, testing templates and maintain calibrated tools for lift and escalator inspections.
• Lead inspection, testing and statutory compliance for PTO applications, renewals and non‑statutory audits.
• Manage safety on site, oversee incident investigations and ensure corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, drive project plans, budgets and timelines for lift & escalator projects.
• Support business development by identifying clients, preparing tenders and advising on cost implications.
• Lead, mentor and grow the inspection team while managing departmental P&L and resources.

Required profile

• Registered Lift & Escalator Inspector (LEI) with IES.
• Degree or diploma in Vertical Transportation, Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering.
• 7‑10 years of experience in lift and escalator testing, commissioning, maintenance and design.
• Proven managerial experience leading inspection teams and projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, BCA requirements and ISO/IEC 17020 standards.
