Loan Officer

About the role

A licensed financial services firm in Singapore is hiring a Loan Officer. You will own the full loan lifecycle, from first contact with a prospective customer through to disbursement and repayment tracking. No prior qualifications or experience are required, and comprehensive on-the-job training is provided. The role sits in a central location with structured hours and clear performance incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through loan enquiries, explain personal loan products, and conduct onboarding including KYC and eligibility checks
• Evaluate applicants' financial profiles, income documents, creditworthiness and repayment capacity, then process and approve loans within authorised limits
• Prepare and issue loan contracts so customers understand all terms and obligations
• Make outbound calls to prospective clients using company-provided leads and give accurate financial advice
• Build customer relationships, explain repayment schedules, fees and legal responsibilities, and handle enquiries courteously
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal procedures, keep accurate records, and make mandatory recordings for face-to-face or video operations
• Monitor repayments, follow up on outstanding balances, issue reminders and negotiate structured repayment plans
• Escalate overdue accounts according to company policy and legal guidelines, while protecting customer confidentiality
• Handle general office administration, daily cash flow records and disbursement logs, and assist with audits and compliance inspections

Required profile

• No prior experience or formal qualifications required; full training is provided
• Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging with new customers
• Detail-oriented and able to manage documentation accurately
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Able to work retail hours, including Saturdays (Sundays and public holidays off)
• Proficiency in English
