Locum Medical Officer (Anaesthesiology)

About the role

SingHealth is seeking experienced locum doctors with a strong clinical background in general practice or internal medicine, preferably in anaesthetics, to work in the Anaesthesia Pre-admission Clinic (PAC) at Singapore General Hospital. This is a clinic-only role, ideally covering at least 4-5 sessions per week, with two available slots: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 12.30 pm, and Monday to Friday, 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Use Citrix/NHER for patient screening and documentation
• Communicate with multidisciplinary teams such as internal medicine, physiotherapists, nutritionists and surgeons
• Provide pre-anaesthesia counselling, including risks, anaesthesia methods, airway techniques, post-operative disposition and invasive line insertion
• Refer and follow up patients with unoptimised medical conditions to polyclinics, general practitioners, other specialties and dentists

Required profile

• Full registration with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC)
• Experience as a locum doctor with a strong clinical background in general practice or internal medicine, preferably in anaesthetics
