Logistics Technician – Inventory & Asset

About the role

As a Logistics Technician in Microsoft’s Circular Center, you will handle the destruction of data‑bearing devices, harvest components from decommissioned equipment, and manage inventory movements. The role provides hands‑on experience with data‑center logistics, warranty processes, and inventory control.

Key responsibilities

• Perform destruction of data‑bearing devices (DBDs) and harvest usable parts according to procedure.
• Execute cycle audits and manage incoming and outgoing deliveries.
• Coordinate security escorts for third‑party vendors and document all inbound/outbound shipments.
• Initiate warranty claims, process returns, and handle Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) devices following service level agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of stock, deliveries, and inventory transactions.
• Develop working knowledge of stock control and Microsoft contractual guidelines.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed procedures and escalate issues when needed.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation of inventory movements.
• Customer‑focused mindset and ability to work with suppliers and internal teams.
• Willingness to learn Microsoft’s inventory management and warranty processes.
